Port Vale: Fans' view - Notts County
If we win our next two home matches against Accrington and Bournemouth, then fine, but it could also have a negative affect on the players' morale.
It will be interesting to watch their performances tomorrow when we play Accrington at home.
It will certainly need to be an improvement on Saturday's display, and Adams was right to be critical.
County are a better side, but we didn't help ourselves in certain departments. We had to keep tight to Lee Hughes, but we didn't, and he scored with a free header.
We also had to be wary of giving penalties away with tricky players like Hughes and Rodgers up there.
But John McCombe repeated the clumsy challenge that handed Hereford a penalty earlier in the season and instead of going in at 1-1 we were 2-1 down.
With everything that went on at County last week, including the Sol Campbell shenanigans, they may have felt some pressure in the second period had we gone into the break all-square.
But we gave another sloppy goal away and they were comfortable winners in the end.
ANDY McCORMACK, Burslem
I DON'T think we played particularly well at County where we made errors leading up to all of their goals.
We looked disjointed going forward and didn't seem to have a cutting edge.
Marc Richards and Lewis Haldane weren't able to hold the ball up
and it's difficult to apply pressure if we can't retain possession.
There were several moments when a poor pass led to us losing possession.
Having said that, I think it's a bit of a knee-jerk reaction to stick the whole squad on the transfer list.
But Micky Adams may have done it to kick the team up the backside, and hopefully it'll work tomorrow when we face Accrington.
Adams has had time to look at his squad now and I think he's realised he doesn't have the players to execute the way he wants to play.
Maybe if he can ship a couple of players out he will be able to bring in players who can help us out.
STUART KERBY, Congleton
MICKY Adams has put his squad on the transfer list to stir everybody up. A number of players are not performing.
We did well at the start of the season and got a few decent results, but some players are not good enough.
We have to ship them out to get better ones in.
It's a bit harsh on the whole squad, but Adams has got a difficult job.
We have suffered three defeats in a row, and I wasn't all that impressed with last week's Carling Cup defeat at Scunthorpe either. On that night we sat too far back and gave away possession too easily.
It now depends on how individual players react because they can react in different ways.
I don't think County are a much better side than Vale, apart from Lee Hughes who can score goals.
Marc Richards is disappointing at the moment, although I don't think he is suited to being used as a target man. I was hoping Geoff Horsfield would come in and do that role.
We have a first 11 who can reach mid-table, but outside that we are struggling for quality.
I blame Lee Sinnott and Dean Glover, who brought in some very poor players.
