Port Vale: Fans have their say on Vale's League Two defeat at Burton Albion
I put it down to a lack of creativity rather than any lack of effort because, since Micky Adams took charge, I could never accuse his team of that.
Our midfield was a problem area, as Rob Taylor and Louis Dodds never really got going.
We were pushing for those play-off positions, but I still think we will fall short, because we're lacking that bit of quality.
This season was always about stabilising the club to take us to a level where we are ready to fight for promotion next season.
If we get promoted it may come one season too early, but it would be still nice to have a crack at it.
STUART KERBY, Congleton
IT WAS a disappointing all-round performance. We didn't seem to have any firepower and made Burton look good.
I don't think playing in front of such a big away following created any extra pressure, especially as we have performed so well away from Vale Park this season.
Burton came to Vale Park a few weeks ago and lost. Now we have gone to their place, not played well and got what we deserved.
It's just a blip, but now we have to get something from Chesterfield tomorrow before Saturday's long trip to Torquay.
MARIE EVANS, Burslem
I THOUGHT we totally wasted the first half, despite having a few of efforts on goal.
Rob Taylor and Louis Dodds perked up in the second half, but by then Burton were already a goal up and in control.
We never threatened enough in the second half, despite having a few penalty shouts and seeing Davies hit the post.
The midfield was crying out for somebody to get their foot on the ball and slow things down.
But we can't get too down-hearted because it was still a close game and we've had a good run away from home.
